We just formatted a partition in preparation to install Windows XP. However one of our tapes went bad and we need to unformat or recover the data from the formatted partition. I've seen several utilities (like R-Studio) claim to recover files over the network, but what is the best unformat software? I'm looking for advice from someone who has actually used best unformat utility. The partition is on a laptop, so recovering files over the network/advice on how exactly to recover data will be useful. This is also pretty urgent. Thanks in advance!
As a matter of fact, there is no the best unformat software. To recovery deleted or formatted partition, most of data recovery software are all best unformat software. Because these software can all recover deleted or formatted files without question. It doesn't require too much high technology or patent. If you didn't write any new data on the partition you formatted, most of these unformat software are best.
